MAHWAH, NJ – Forty-one people were arrested during Operation Fall Cleanup by township police that targeted parking lots and other local areas.
A plainclothes police unit led by Detective Sgt. Kevin Hebert focused on commercial and hotel parking lots, truck stops and other “Localized areas,” said Chief James Batelli.
The 41 arrests led to 86 criminal charges being filed, Batelli said.
“Besides the criminal arrests, 30 motor vehicle summonses were issued and more than $4,000 collected,” Batelli said.
